6 months

June 19th McKenleigh turned 6 months old! WOW time has flown!! I can't believe it. She is so much fun. She is crawling very well and pulling up. She also loves to growl. Daddy says she is his little tiger. She loves to chew on books, remote controls and keys. She also loves small places and playing in the grass.

First time she pulled up in her crib.

Happy 1/2 birthday little girl.

Great Grand Parents

Wednesday June 11th my mom brought both of my grandmothers over to see McKenleigh. She had a great time playing with both of them.

Pool time

Thursday the 12th was McKenleigh's first time in her baby pool. She had so much fun. The only problem was, she wanted to put her face in the water. Here are a few pictures.

Happy 30th!

June 9th I turned 30 and to celebrate, Jason planned a wonderful getaway for the two of us. A few months ago he asked me where I would like to go, and I told him I just wanted a getaway for the two of us to enjoy some time together. So he made plans and decided to surprise me. He told me what I would need, and helped me pack. Thursday the 5th, I took McKenleigh to meet my mom. (Thanks Janet for letting us meet at your house. Lunch was great.) She got to have a great weekend with Grandma, Grandpa and Uncle Adam.
Jason and I left Nashville around 5 and headed to Knoxville for the evening. Jason had told me we were staying in Knoxville and then heading to our destination, that was all I knew. He did not pack golf clubs, so I was clueless. The clubs make it in the car before the suitcases most of the time.
Friday morning as we crossed the border into North Carolina, we stopped at the visitors center, and I picked up all kinds of brochures to try and figure out where we were going. I picked up a brochure from the Biltmore and thought it would be fun to go by on our way to wherever we were going. Jason agreed, but I felt bad, because I knew he had plans made already and I didn't want to mess up his plans, but he pulled off the interstate anyway. It was Lunch time so he said we might go in and have lunch the go on. Well, instead of stopping and getting tickets, he pulls up to the gate and the guard says "hi, how can I help you..." Jason "yes, we are guest at the Inn" WHAT!!! I hit him and the guard though he was lying. I didn't even know there was an Inn on Biltmore Estate.

What w wonderful trip. We went on tours of the house and the winery. Went on behind the scenes tours and seminars. We had breakfast on the terrace and went swimming in the pool. Believe it or not we made a few friends and even got invited to a wedding on the estate.

Friday night we had dinner in the dinning room and as a surprise this was brought out.

We had a wonderful time. It was a great trip. We missed McKenleigh, but it was so nice to spend some time just the two of us.

Sunday night when we got back, My parents came down and we celebrated my birthday and they gave me a beautiful charm bracelet and Jason and McKenleigh gave me a charm with McKenleigh's initial. It was a wonderful birthday.

Pictures

Haven't posted pictures in a while so here you go.

Look what I can do!

This is how I spend many days.

Goodmorning

Grandma and Great Grandma came to visit me.

Grandparents

Last weekend was a BIG event. McKenleigh went to my parents house for the weekend and Jason and I had the weekend to ourselves. WOW! Jason was on a business trip to Canada earlier in the week so McKenleigh and I went to stay with my parents for a few nights. He came home on Friday, so I came home and let McKenleigh get spoiled by her Grandparents. I had been away from McKenleigh one night before, but I was in a hotel only a few min. away. This time she was in Kentucky and I was in Tennessee. It was only an hour and a half, but that was far enough.
Well Jason and I had a great time. Friday night we went to get a couples massage. I had given Jason a gift certificate and we went together. It was his first massage, and I don't think her really wanted to go, but after a day on a plane and in airports, I think it was a nice way to relax.
Saturday morning I was able to lay in bed and not jump up to a baby crying because the sun was up so she should be too. We had a lazy morning then went to downtown Franklin for the Franklin Food and Spirit Fest. We had a great time and ate way too much. After a few hours there, we went home and oh my goodness, I got a nap! I was wonderful. Saturday night we went to the wedding of some good friends of mine and to a reception at The Standard at the Smith House.
It was a beautiful wedding and it was nice to spend the evening with our friends.
Sunday morning I was ready to see my baby. I had a great weekend, but I was ready to go get her. Mom said she did well and only got upset when it was bedtime and when she woke up at night to eat. Other than that it was a great weekend. I am so glad it went well.

Memorial Day

Two years ago, a few weeks after Jason and I started dating, we went to Shiloh for the day. It was a long car ride, but we had a great day. Last year we had been married for 5 months, I was three months pregnant and really didn't feel well, so we stayed home. This year I wanted to go somewhere. Jason loves history so we decided from now on every Memorial day we would go somewhere to remember the day.
This year we went to Stones River. It was a nice day. I did not realize how much happened there. McKenleigh did great. We look forward to making this a great family tradition.
