Play Date

Thursday afternoon we had a play date with Mashea and Emerson. We met them at the mall and played in the play area. It was lots of fun and kind of scary. There were some big kids there that were running all over and every time we would move to a new area, they just followed. The girls had fun and we got a workout. Only one boo boo- McKenleigh got kicked in the head by a little boy running by, but after a few seconds of crying and hugging, she was ready to go again. The mother of the little boy grabbed him up and talked to him then came over and appoloigized. I really appreciated her doing that. I was not mad, because he was just playing, but it was nice she was teaching him to be careful. Here are some pictures of out fun.

Daddy's coming home

The other day I opened the door while I was cleaning and told McKenleigh "daddy's coming home" and she crawled over to the door and looked and looked. It was so cute I had to get a picture.

Then the dog joined in.

Granny Becky Continued

Saturday evening after McKenleigh's nap Granny Becky and McKenleigh spent some time swinging, then trying to cheer dad up after the Auburn loss. It has been a sad year, but we still love our Tigers.

Sunday morning was a wonderful morning. Jason got up with McKenleigh and let me sleep in. I woke up to the most wonderful sound...sequels of laughter from my little girl. She was downstairs playing with Granny Becky, and loving every second of it. I just laid in bed listening to her and smiling.
After church it was time to go to the airport, and we were sorry to see Granny Becky go, but we are looking forward to her next visit.

Granny Becky

Last weekend Granny Becky (Jason's Mom) came to visit. McKenleigh and I went to the airport Friday afternoon to pick her up, and as we were waiting at the gate, McKenleigh saw many people, dogs, balloons and babies. She was so happy and enjoying her time in the Airport. (I hope it goes this well in December) We were standing with my back to the down escalator and McKenleigh started waving to all the people going down. She kept waving to different people for a good 3 or 4 min. It was so cute and she made so many people smile.
After waiting and watching Granny Becky was there. McKenleigh squealed with excitement. She went straight to her they headed off to baggage claim, McKenleigh didn't even notice I was trailing behind.
After the airport we headed home for a nap. Here is a picture of some good loving from Granny Becky after her nap.

After a good bottle and some play time,we headed up to Green Hills for some shopping. Granny Becky bought McKenleigh a new shirt to match an outfit she has, and bought her some Christmas gifts. I would show you, but then it would not be a surprise and we know how much I love surprises. After the mall we headed over to the Hill Center for more shopping and then to Jason's favorite place Five Guys for dinner. Then we took a sleepy little girl home and put her to bed.

Saturday we got up and went to The Factory at Franklin, where we had lunch, showed Granny Becky all the fun stores and McKenleigh got a new pair of shoes and I got a treat as well. McKenleigh needed some down time, so she and Granny Becky played in the grass outside.

I love these pictures. They have very similar poses in them.

After the factory, we headed to Downtown Franklin and showed Granny Becky around. It is a wonderful downtown and she really liked it. Next time we are going to skip the mall and go straight to Franklin. While we were there we had cupcakes and blueberry pie. What a busy morning, so we headed home for a nap. This post is long enough so I will post more soon.

Swing

Thursday Pop Pop( my dad- his name until McKenleigh gives him a new one)came down and built McKenleigh a swing stand. She loves to swing and I wanted to get her a swing, but we do not have a good tree for it. I looked and looked for a stand, but I could not find one, so he made one. Yeah for Pop Pop! She loves it. Here are a few pictures of her first swing on her new swing set. Thank you Pop Pop!!

Amanda, McKenleigh and I walked in the Race for the Cure on Saturday the 4th. McKenleigh rode in the jogging stroller and did great. This was 1/2 a mile to the end and we needed a potty break. Thanks McDonalds(that may be the only time I say that EVER)

Sweet sleeping baby.

Zoo Day

Last Friday our friends from church had a play date at the Zoo. We had stayed the night in Kentucky, but we got up and drove back to meet everyone. I did not take many pictures, but we had a good time. McKenleigh missed her morning nap, and really wanted to crawl around, but all in all it was a great day. Here are a few pictures I took. You can tell some little ones missed their morning nap.

Stop taking pictures and take me home.

Andrew is 2 weeks younger than McKenleigh, can't you tell??
