Mom was nice enough to keep doodle bug for the day, and we were blessed with a great day together.What a nice birthday gift. A day (1/2 day trip we did in 2 1/2 hours) with my husband and out in the beautiful sun. Jason had a good time even though there was not a golf club involved. We look forward to going again.

Kayak trip
Jason wanted to surprise me with a day doing something I enjoy, so we went Kayaking on the Harpeth River. I love being outdoor, walking, hiking, swimming and so on. I really enjoying kayaking, but have not been in a few years, and Jason has never been, so this was a trip we were both looking forward to.

Today I celebrated my 31st birthday!! It was a wonderful day. Some people dread their 30's, but I have to say...my 30th year has been one of my best years to date. Spending time with my family and loving on doodle bug, it really doesn't get any better. I am looking forward to this year!

June is keeping us busy
We have been busy the first part of June. Our church has had VBS and it has been fun, crazy, tiring and a wonderful blessing. What a wonderful group working so hard to teach these children about God. McKenleigh went this year, but really just spent the time playing. Hopefully next year she will enjoy the drama and singing a little more.
My mom and I also started a new business this summer and have really enjoyed the opportunity to work together. Here is one of the dresses she made. It is a reversible dress with bloomers and is $25. I love it!

We were able to take my grandmother to the Frist center, and enjoyed watching McKenleigh paint for the first time. We have a family membership, and they have a wonderful kids area upstairs, so we try to go often. This was the first time my mom and my grandmother had been, but watching McKenleigh was so much fun.

She is getting so big.
For my birthday and for Father's Day, we got a Wii, and Jason's mom gave me the Wii fit. We have had so much fun with it! McKenleigh has seen me do it a few times, and here she is trying it out.

Fall = Dr. Jones visit
This afternoon, after her first Popsicle, McKenleigh was playing on her slide and fell out of the window (see picture of slide below) She fell on her head, then rolled. I was worried about he neck, but within seconds of the fall she was running around and playing like nothing happened. Just to make Mommy sleep better, Jason called Uncle Adam and he came straight away to check her out. After the green light for him, they played in the back yard for a little while. (She had been playing in the sprinkler, that is why she is in a swim suit)

She leaned out of the window below and fell.
