Chopsticks!

McKenleigh loves noodles so we decided to take her to Pei Wei while we were out for the day. I always carry a small fork and spoon with me so she can eat with us, but this time she had other plans. Mommy and Daddy were using funny sticks to eat with, so she needed to eat with them. I thought it would be pretty funny to watch...

I was so shocked! She did great. She can probably use chopsticks better than me. She continued to eat her dinner with chopsticks the whole time. What a big girl.

What to do...

What to do when daddy is sick?
Jason has been sick for a few days and we needed to try and stay busy and downstairs. We watched a little TV, played blocks and colored, but she really wanted to go check on daddy. I decided to break out the tape. She loved it. it took awhile to pull it all off, and she laughed the whole time.

After all the fun, we called daddy to check on him. =)

Costume

I had been thinking a little about Halloween, but not much. We still have over a month and I really wasn't sold on any of my ideas. Well that changed today. I needed to get a few plain white shirts for M, so I thought Old Navy might have some. Thankfully they had some without sparkles. =) While looking at the shirts, M was looking at the costumes right beside me. I looked over at her and she was trying to take her clothes off saying "put Aubie on, put Aubie on". She was so cute, I had to get it for her. Now she has worn it all afternoon. Sweet girl picked her own costume and LOVES it.

School!

McKenleigh starts preschool in a few days and they had a sneek-a-peek today. McKenleigh was able to go and meet her teachers, see her classroom and meet her classmates. She walked in and made herself at home. I know she is going to love it.

She is the youngest in her class, but I know she will do well.

Her friend Izzy from church is in her class. (maybe she can teach McKenleigh how to grow hair)

Dress up is fun!

Can't believe she will be in school next week!

Visit with Da

Jason's dad came to visit last weekend, and McKenleigh had a wonderful time. I am pretty sure Da had a great time as well.
Here they are having a tea party with all her Elmos. Da bought one the last time he was here and then two more during this visit.

They did a little sliding ...

a little swinging...

playing in the sandbox...

climbing and looking...

a little more swinging (gotta have that thumb)

playing peek-a-boo

riding the ladybugs

cuddling

and reading books

It was a full and busy weekend, but we are so glad he came. Lots of great memories.
