1 Week

Our little girl is one week old today and I can't believe it. She is such a joy, but it is still hard to believe she is ours. She is really good, but hates dirty diapers and being undressed. She will scream until you get her diaper on and dressed and becomes peaceful almost immediately. She is quite the cuddle bug and we love it. We cuddle and she is so happy. Christmas so much fun and now we are just enjoying family time everyday until Jason has to go back to work next week. Happy 1 week birthday McKenleigh. Here are a few firsts this week. McKenleigh Faith

She is here!! McKenleigh was born Wednesday the 19th at 5:18pm. She was 8lbs 2 oz and 18 in long. She is just perfect. She is sleeping well and nursing well. I will write more about it all later. I need some sleep.

Well we are ready... all but the curtains. We will get those up before she sleeps in there. Well here are a few pictures.

39 weeks

Wow we are at 39 weeks! I can't believe it has gone so fast. She will hopefully be here before we know it. Watch me grow.

The bathroom

I picked this out a few weeks before we found out if we were having a girl or boy. I thought it was really sweet either way. I could use more bugs for a boy or butterflies for a girl. We have towels and bathmats as well, but they are not here yet. Mom was awesome and made the curtain and I painted the soap dispenser and things. I really like it. Also here I am at 38 weeks. I am ready to see this sweet little girl.





































38 weeks!!

11 months and less than 30 days

Thursday marked our 11 month anniversary and wow has the time flown. It is rather funny because it feels like we got married yesterday and then it feels like we have always been married. It has been fun learning about each other and our good and bad habits. I was asked on Thursday what the best and worst thing about being married was. I thought about it and the best would have to be that I married my best friend.
We have so much fun together, but we can really talk, we can be ourselves and love each other for who we are. I know him so well and I love it. The worst thing would be well it is not bad, just hardest thing... Jason is an inside the box kind of person, and well...I am anything but. We have had a good year finding a meeting place combining the two. He takes a few steps outside and I take a few steps toward the box. It has been such a blessed 11 months and I look forward to the next 50 years.

Now the count down is on. Our little girl is due in less than 30 days. Wow that time has flown. I have had a really good pregnancy, and enjoyed almost all of it. I love feeling her move and when Jason talks to her she will kick and kick. She gets hiccups every few days, but I just laugh. It is a little more difficult when she gets them as I am trying to go to sleep, but I love it. I have gained 18 1!/2 pounds so far and have not really swelled very much. Thankfully. I am ready to hold her, but I am a little sad, because this has been so much fun. Well she will be here before we know it. I will try to post updated nursery pictures soon.
